What are Eyelash Extensions?

Eyelash Extensions are a popular new service and product that lengthens and thickens your own natural eyelashes. Each lash that I apply is made from high-grade sterilized Korean PBT fiber and comes in a variety of lengths, thickness, finishes, and curl types. The lash extensions are applied to your natural lashes, and will hold their bond until your natural lash sheds from it's own cycle (at which point a baby lash grows in, and fills are required to re-extend new growth)

What should I expect the process to be like?

You and I will go through a consultation about your desired look. At that point I will determine the appropriate thickness, length and curl that fits not only your natural lashes, but also your eye-shape.

What do eyelash extensions look like when applied?

I give absolute proper application. This means that I apply one synthetic eyelash to one natural lash. This is the only way to achieve complete natural looking eyelashes. Nobody will know you have extensions. They will think you were born with beautiful, long lashes!

How long will a set of eyelash extensions last?

Lash Extensions should last as long as your natural lash stays in before it naturally sheds (and a baby lash grows in behind it). Each of your natural lashes are always in a different stage of growth so you will need to fill them every 2-3 weeks. That way they always looks fresh and fabulous!

Can I apply mascara (and/or other makeup) while wearing eyelash extensions?

Mascara is not necessary since the lash extensions give the illusion of already wearing it. However, I have very few clients who use mascara for extra oomph. You are welcome to do this but only use water based mascara, APPROVED for Lash Extensions. Most clients don't desire the use of mascara and love that they save time with one less step in their makeup regime.

Do lash extensions damage your natural lashes?

When done correctly and by a properly trained professional, no. Lash Extensions will help your natural lashes grow stronger and healthier because women no longer feel the need to use harsh lash curlers, or roughly rub their lashes during the day to remove mascara. Unfortunately there are so many lash extensionists out there who are not properly trained and don't care about their client's lash health. I have come across many of these victims. Beautiful and safe eyelash extensions require time, patience and EXTREME attention to detail. I pride myself on being exact and thorough when it comes to handling my client's eyelashes. I will never jeopardize my client's lash health or satisfaction by rushing the process. It is my passion.

Are lash extensions comfortable?

Once again, this is why your treatment has to be done properly. When I finish applying your lashes, you will be completely comfortable and won't feel them at all. My clients often comment on how much better their eyes feel now that they don't have to wear mascara on a daily basis. If you have had lashes applied and felt they were heavy, or making your lash line sore; they were applied incorrectly and are damaging to your natural lashes.

Can I shower, swim, exercise or sweat while wearing eyelash extensions?

Absolutely! The bonding agent I use is waterproof and allows you to shower, swim, exercise, etc. Overall maintenance is low. I do recommend avoiding any heavy water (ie showering) for 12-24 hours after eyelash application. A light mist is fine.
